ACCESSIBILITY STATUS

Accessibility

Updated 1 August 2026

Our approach

BenchLog is designed for researchers using phones, tablets and desktop browsers at the bench. We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our product baseline, even where a specific legal accessibility duty does not apply to this private B2B beta.

This page is a transparent status statement, not a certification or a claim of complete conformance.

What is already supported

  • keyboard navigation and visible focus;
  • semantic headings, labels and dialog focus management;
  • light and dark themes with automated contrast checks;
  • responsive layouts, 200% text zoom and reduced-motion preferences;
  • touch targets sized for mobile use;
  • status messages that do not rely on color alone.

Current testing status

Automated accessibility checks cover the landing page, legal pages, sign-in, protocol library and active runner in light and dark modes, including mobile overflow and enlarged text. The current automated suite reports no known critical or serious violations on those tested surfaces.

Manual testing with real assistive technology is still in progress. BenchLog has not yet completed its planned matrix for VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, Safari, Firefox and tablet workflows. Complex research content and browser-native audio controls may therefore still expose barriers that automated tools miss.

Report a barrier

If something prevents you from using BenchLog, email hello@benchlog.de. Please include the page or task, device and browser, and the assistive technology you were using if relevant. We will acknowledge the report and prioritize blockers to completing or recovering a research record.

Legal scope

BenchLog is currently an invitation-only service for researchers and labs, not a consumer e-commerce offer. The German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) primarily covers specified services provided to consumers and also exempts microenterprises that provide services. We nevertheless treat accessible operation as a product and research-integrity requirement.
